Boone Razor, Jr.

Mr. Boone Razor, Jr., 67, of Wyoming Road, Owingsville, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home.

He was born on February 15, 1949 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, a son of the late Boone Razor, Sr. and Helen Marie Hamm Razor.

Mr. Razor was a carpenter and United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.

He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, woodworking, telling jokes, pulling pranks and sports, especially UK, he was an avid fan.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Spencer Razor, one daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Vandgrift of Winchester, one step-daughter, Holly (Steven) Brezeale of Owingsville, two brothers, James Allen (Paula) Razor of Atlanta, Georgia and John Roberts Razor of Sharpsburg, three sisters, Elizabeth Lee Lyons, Patty (Gary) Butcher and Vicki Steele all of Owingsville, four grandchildren, Taylor Vandgrift, Shelby Vandgrift, Brock Vandgrift and Evan Brezeale and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 13, 2017 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Teddy Bailey and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel with full military honors conducted at the graveside by Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.

Pallbearers will be Ward Wells, Walter Shrout, Gary Butcher, Keith Lyons, Ramey Reynolds and Mike Colliver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Witt, Tinker Ray, Gordie Staton and Tucker Staton.

Visitation is after 5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to the Slate Valley Christian Church or the Owingsville First Church of God.
