Jeanie Roberts

Mrs.Dorothy Jean "Jeanie" Roberts, Age 82 of Owingsville, passed away Tuesday morning March 20, 2018 at the Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on February 11, 1936 to the late Harrison Toy and Ruth McGlothin Toy.

She was a long time and faithful employee of the Colonial Rest Home where she retired as the administrator.

Jeanie enjoyed cooking, gardening, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with all her wonderful family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Roberts "Bud" Jr. two sons Sammie Roberts and Mike "General" Roberts and one daughter Ruthie Fields.

Survivors include two sons Donnie Roberts and wife Jan of Winchester, Virginia and Kenny Roberts and wife Anita of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, one daughter Paula Kelly and husband Clarence of Fairborn, Ohio. One brother Don Toy and wife Sandy of Sharpsburg, Kentucky and one sister Bonnie Harmon and husband Shank of Louisville, Kentucky. Survivors also include nine grandchildren Amber Shanklin, Samantha Roberts, Bryce Joseph, Katherine, Rebecca, Sean, Donna, April, Brandon and two great grandchildren Chase and Lilly. Also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 24, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice Officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Sean Kelly, Barry Toy, Doug Toy, Lance Davis, Larry Harmon and Bryce Joseph.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Betty Joyce Ratliff, Becky Fraley, Ada June Thompson, Lois Plymale, Mary Gray and Charlotte Kincaid.
