Mr. Joseph Aaron Hovermale, 53 of Owingsville passed away Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Marion, Indiana on March 4, 1965 to the late Perry Thornton Hovermale and Gladys Hatton Hovermale.
Joseph was a Graphic Artist and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Owingsville Ward . He was a graduate of Ball State University earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and was an accomplished artist working in all mediums. He raised Pomeranians and enjoyed all types of creative endeavors including ceramics, cross stitch, quilting and sewing.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Michael Hovermale.
Survivors include five brothers, Perry Hovermale Jr. and wife Brenda of Owingsville, Matthew Hovermale and Lisa Parker of Marion, Indiana, Ivan Hovermale of Marion, Indiana, Evan Hovermale and wife Sheila of Marion, Indiana, Timothy Hovermale and wife Maureen of Louisville, Ky. Four sisters, Mary Elaine Hovermale of Owingsville, Lella Sanchez and husband Roberto of Marion, Indiana, Anita Hughes and husband Don of Owingsville, Dr. Rachael Hovermale of Richmond, Ky. Also, a host of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Owingsville with Bishop Jason Purdy Officiating.
Burial will follow at the Shrout Cemetery.
Visitation at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Owingsville Ward is after 5:00 P.M. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
