Marjorie Kincaid

Owingsville

Mrs. Marjorie Lide Whittington Kincaid, 87 of Owingsville, passed away Saturday afternoon in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after a brief illness.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on March 9, 1931 to the late Eugene Whittington and Mary Ellen Vice Whittington.

Marjorie retired from Jockey International after 38 years,  having worked at both the Carlisle and Mt. Sterling facilities. She was a member of the Grace Gospel Tabernacle in Owingsville and had been a babysitter for several families  in the area. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking walks down by the creek.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis A. Kincaid, two sisters, Galena Greene and Faye Whittington. Also,  three step-children; Clarence Kincaid, Gary Kincaid and Ezra Clayton Kincaid.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeannie Kincaid Riddell and her husband Bobby of Owingsville. One step-son, Carter Kincaid and his wife Kathy of Owingsville. One step-daughter, Lavelva Wells of Richmond, Kentucky. Two sisters, Charlotte Kincaid and Sudie Curtis and husband Farley of Owingsville. A sister-in-law, Dorothy Ulery of Moores Ferry, Seven Grandchildren; Tyler Riddell and his wife Brittany, Cathy Conway, Pam Copher and her husband Kevin, Warren Wells, Wendell Wells, Rhonda Wells Evans and Missy Gibson.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Steve Meadows officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. Wednesday.

Pall bearers will be Tyler Riddell, Coty Conway, Darien Conway, Kevin Copher, Morgan Sorrell and Steven Bach. Honorary pall bearers will be Danny Gray, Jon Greene, Vernus Curtis, Denny Holbrook, Richie Sparks, Jeremy Bailey, Jr. Bailey, John Thomas Wells, Ewell Wells and Jesse McVey
