Mary Goodpaster

April 11, 1918 — September 6, 2017

Mary Inez Goodpaster, 99 of Old Sand Road, Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away Wednesday evening in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born April 11, 1918 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Johnny C. and Effie Sutton Goodpaster.

She was a member of the Hedrick Community Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, working in her flowers and taking care of her cattle and farm.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Loretta Purvis, one brother, James Goodpaster and one sister, Allie Curtis.

Survivors include one son, Wendell Goodpaster and his wife Kay of Salt Lick, Kentucky. One sister, Vada Goodpaster of Owingsville, Kentucky. Two grandchildren, Dixie (Tim) Black and Regina (David) Dotson. Three step-grandchildren, Charlie Hamilton, Rebecca Stamper and Bethany Lawson. Four great-grandchildren. Amy (Chuck) Prince, Chelsey Lewis, Destiny Dotson and Abby Martin.  Four step-great-grandchildren, Alex Stamper, Calan Stamper, Elliana Stamper and Hailie Grace Hamilton.  One great-great granddaughter Alexis Armstrong and Her best friend, Flossie Copher of Polksville.  Also, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Randall Jackson and Bro. Andy Lands officiating.

Burial will follow in the Polksville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Family and Friends will serve as pall bearers.
