Mrs. Ada Margaret Vice Thornsburg, 92, of Owingsville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville.
She was born on June 5, 1923 in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Edgar Wayne Vice and Mamie Lee Goodpaster Vice.
Mrs. Thornsburg had worked at A. O. Smith in Mt. Sterling.
She was a member of Bailey’s Chapel Christian Church and she attended the Church of God.
Ada enjoyed flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Thornsburg, her brother, Robert (“Dude”) Vice and her sister, Lola Yaden.
Survivors include two sons, Norman L. (Ann) Wells of Pell City, Alabama and Fred A. (Darlene) Wells of Lexington, six grandchildren, Debbie Palmer, Patty Lichtenstein, Tracy Wells, Michael Wells, Shannon Wells and Kevin Wells, six great-grandchildren and three nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Antony Anderson and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
