Albert Berton Clark, 89, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his home.
He was born on October 4, 1933 in Corbin, Kentucky, a son of the late Shelly Oakly Clark and Hazel Mae Bullock Clark.
Mr. Clark had been the owner and operator of a Pasquale’s Pizza in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He also worked at General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Midland First Church of God, where he was very active. He was in the choir, played the organ and sang and was on the Board of Trustees.
He enjoyed traveling, having visited every state but Hawaii. He also enjoyed going to church, cars and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Carpenter Clark and one sister, Doris Fern Moody.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Jo Clark of Morehead and Rhonda Gail Washing and her husband, Scott of Newburg, Indiana, two grandchildren, Daniel Washing and Allie Washing, three nephews, David Moody, Jon Paul Moody and Phillip Moody and one niece, Rebecca Hack.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Midland First Church of God with Rev. Bush Stevenson officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Alfrey Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation at the Midland First Church of God is after 12:00 Noon Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Scott Washing, Daniel Washing, David Moody, Jon Paul Moody, Phillip Moody, Randy Russell, Louie Whitt and James Carpenter.
