Alberta "Lynn" Moody Del`Carpio, 65, of Preston, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the St. Joseph Hospital (Main) in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on January 11, 1960, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Gene Dillon and Patricia Mae McGlothin Moody.
Lynn was known for her incredible culinary skills that brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of tasting her creations. Her dedication to her craft and her ability to bring people together through food made her a respected figure by many. Lynn also had a zest for life that extended beyond the kitchen; she adored kayaking, horseback riding, and anything that allowed her to experience the great outdoors.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her nephew, Dennis Moody.
She is survived by her companion of 35 years, Elise Alling, three brothers: Gene Moody of Owingsville, Kelly Moody of Mt. Sterling, and Barry Moody of Radcliff, Kentucky, her sister, Sharon Hunt (Rocky) of Salt Lick, along with several nieces and nephews, including Brandon Moody, Stephanie Daniels, Tracey Skaggs (Jeremy), Kellie Jo Townsend (Travis), Zachary Moody (Rachel) and James Moody. Additionally, Lynn leaves behind several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
