Billy was a Montgomery County native and an employee of Custom Foods. He is survived by his wife, Katie Martin of Bethel; one son, Billy Ray Purvis, Jr. of Bethel; his mother, Glenda McKee (Buel) Richardson of Flemingsburg; his father, Jimmy Lee Purvis, Sr. of Sharpsburg; his grandmother, Shirley Presley of Owingsville; grandfathers, William H. McKee of Salt Lick and William M. Purvis of Sharpsburg; great great grandmother, Margie Purvis of Sharpsburg; two sisters, Lucinda Shields of Bethel and Kristina Purvis of Sharpsburg; one brother, Jimmy Lee Purvis, Jr. of El Paso, Texas and a special uncle, Jimmy Lee Presley of Sharpsburg.
