Blanche Wells, 75, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
She was born on January 17, 1946 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late John T. Wells Sr. and Amy Purvis Wells.
Blanche worked for many years as a seamstress at Jockey International, Inc. in Mt. Sterling and she also worked at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Owingsville. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed taking long walks, reading, playing the lottery, cooking and watching Gunsmoke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers; Frank Wells, Wayne Wells, Bill Wells, John T. Wells Jr., Gene Wells and Scott Wells, four sisters; Betty Conyers, Lottie Bristow, Christine Watkins and infant sister, Elizabeth Wells.
Survivors include four brothers; Paul Wells, Clifford Wells (Ann), Bobby Wells (Jenny) and Gordon Wells (Joyce) all of Owingsville, two sisters; Ruth Orme (Charles) of Mt. Sterling and Faye Willoughby (Chester) of Owingsville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 6 - 8 PM Wednesday.
Pallbearers include; Phil Copher, Gordon Wells, Gordon Wells Jr, Frosty McKenzie, David McCarty and Andrew Owens.
