Bobby Clayton Vance, 82, of Owingsville passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by family.
He was born on October 21, 1940, in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Herman Vance and Lillie Roberts Vance.
Bobby was known for his dedication and relentless work ethic throughout his life. He was a lifelong farmer and owner and operator of a Salvage Yard. While he was undoubtedly devoted to his work, Bobby also found joy in simple pleasures. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, spending quality time with his grandchildren and working on his cars.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Bruce Vance and two sisters, Helen Hornback and Peggy McNabb
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Horseman Vance, one son Bobby Neal (Rachael) Vance of Owingsville; two daughters, Helen Catherine Vance of Owingsville and Alice Faye (Rob) Donathan of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, three grandchildren: Logan (Terra) Donathan and Spencer Donathan both of Mt. Sterling, as well as Bella Grace Vance of Owingsville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service honoring Bobby's life will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Owingsville Cemetery with Minister Alton Norman officiating.
Pallbearers include, Logan Donathan, Spencer Donathan, Neal Vance, Jack Carpenter, Misty Carpenter, Rob Donathan.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Harold Jones, John Wills, Ronnie Bailey, Diane Bailey, Johnny Botts, Bobby Jones and Ronnie Robinson.
