Bonnie Lou Morris Phillips, 78, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away at her residence on October 11, 2024. She was born on April 20, 1946, in Morehead to the late Troy Morris and Clemmie (Donahue) Ginter.
She enjoyed spending her leisure time solving crossword puzzles, playing cards, and engaging in games of bingo. Her love for her cats was a constant source of comfort and companionship, underscoring her gentle nature.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Phillips, as well as five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Rosemary) Purvis of Austin, Texas, four daughters, Gina Ferguson Griffith and Jenny Wells, both of Owingsville, Billi (Bobby) Canafax of Stanton, and Frankie Stewart of Michigan, Kentucky, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, and special friends Shane Jones, Jimmy Ferguson, Sheila Myers, and Amber Hansel.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Kendall Springs Cemetery with Bro. Glennis Goldy officiating.
Visitation will be in the Chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville, from 1:30-2:30 PM Friday, October 18, 2024.
Pallbearers include Jenny Wells, Gina Griffith, Shane Jones, Jeff Goldy, Lawrence Mahon, and Brent Evans.
