Brenda Sue Lawson Brown, 67, of Frenchburg, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on September 17, 1958, in Frenchburg to the late James Arthur Lawson and Eunice Marie Brown Lawson.
Brenda was a proud homemaker and spent many years quilting, cooking, helping her husband Daniel in his woodworking shop and planning new outfits for her porch goose Eleanor because she knew it brought smiles to everyone who saw her. Her greatest passion though was for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took so much pride in simply being “Mamaw”. She built a home and life of love and unwavering faith. She was a devoted Christian and member of Botts Church.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Jerry Farrow, nephew Jeffrey Farrow and cherished friends Harley (Jr) and Janet Little.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Brown of Frenchburg, two daughters, Stephanie (Rob) Baker of Wellington and Kristie (Travis) Jones of Owingsville, four grandchildren, Dacey (Bobby) Meeks of Denniston, Jasmin Jones and Logan Jones of Owingsville and Seth (Maggie) Baker of Mt. Sterling, three great-grandchildren, Everleigh Meeks and Memphis Meeks of Denniston and Lainey Baker of Mt. Sterling.
She is also survived by a sister Carolyn Farrow of Ezel and other siblings, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Powers Cemetery on Betty Gap Road in Denniston, Kentucky with Pastor Rick Back officiating.
There is no visitation.
Pallbearers will be Dacey Meeks, Jasmin Jones, Logan Jones, Seth Baker, Bobby Meeks, Maggie Baker, Everleigh Meeks, Memphis Meeks, Lainey Baker and Joshua Farrow.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her beloved sister and friends, Carolyn Farrow, Audry Steele, Marlene Wilson, Sherri Little and Mickey Little.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 89 Slate Avenue in Owingsville, Kentucky is caring for all arrangements for Brenda Sue Lawson Brown and her family.
