Carolyn Highley Coyle, 87, of Owingsville, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Windsor Care in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She was born on March 23, 1938, in Mt. Sterling, to the late, Albert Highley and Eula Pergram Highley. For 27 years, she dedicated herself to the food service industry, working at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab for 17 years and then at Owingsville Elementary School for a decade. Her unwavering commitment to service and nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless individuals throughout her career.

A devoted member of the Sugar Grove Christian Church, Carolyn’s faith and love for her church community were evident in her active participation. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, gardening and watching Hallmark movies. She enjoyed watching the birds at home along with all the beauty that nature had to offer there on the farm. 

Carolyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Coyle, and her son, Randall "RC" Coyle. She also mourns the loss of four brothers: Wayne, Jim, Paul, and Alfred "Tator" Highley, along with her sister, Marcella Conway.

She is survived by her grandson, William Nelson Coyle (Tori) of Frankfort, Kentucky, and her great-granddaughter, Cameron "CamCam."  She also leaves behind one brother, Michael Dale Highley of Owingsville. 

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2025, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Francis Nash officiating.

Burial will follow at the Owingsville Cemetery. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday. 

Contributions are suggested to the Sugar Grove Christian Church. 

Pallbearers include, William Coyle, Darrell Conway, Joy Lawill, Tim Highley, Anthony Coyle and Darien Conway.

Honorary Pallbearers include Donna Conway, Missy Purvis, Denise McGuire, Brenda Stull, Mike Highley, Dianne Willoughby and Rosella Dixon. 

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Carolyn Highley Coyle. 

Carolyn’s legacy of love, service, and commitment to her family and community will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
