Charles was a Bath County native. He was a farmer. He is survived by one daughter, Kim Lykes of Owingsville; a special little dog, Bootsie.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Young Lykes; one brother, Theodore Lykes and his parents, Irvin Lykes and Lela Thompson.
