Christopher Wayne Purvis, 29 of Sharpsburg, passed away Tuesday evening, March 27, 2018 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington after a brief illness.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on September 21, 1988 to Michelle Hunt Caldwell and the late Mitchell Purvis.
Chris was a farm worker and enjoyed fishing and drag car racing with his step-father.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Andrew Purvis,
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Michelle Hunt Caldwell and Timothy Wade Caldwell, Sr. of Sharpsburg, Kentucky. One son, Collin Christopher Purvis and one daughter, Tagan Purvis both of Owingsville. Two sisters, Kimberly Tipton of Moorefield, Kentucky and Melissa Watkins of Sharpsburg, Kentucky. One step-brother, Timothy Wade Caldwell, Jr. of Owingsville. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Roy Stacy officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 12 Noon Saturday.
