Clendairus Dale "Rabbit" Otis, 90, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Clark County Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
He was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on March 9, 1932 to the late William Houston Otis and Ella Doan Flannery Otis.
Rabbit worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family. He was a concrete finisher for many years and later became employed by the Daniel Boone National Forest. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, bird watching and relaxing on the porch. Rabbit's other hobbies were collecting knifes, guns and talking on the CB radio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loraine Corey Otis, three sisters; Eula Warren, Frances Craig and Glenna Otis, one brother, Houston Otis and one grandson, BO Dustin Otis.
Survivors include two sons; Billy Dale Otis (Teresa) and Jerry Otis (Tannie), one daughter Drucella Staton (Gary) all of Owingsville, six grandchildren; Daphan Allen, Jed Staton, Jessica Staton, Keysha Otis, Reef Lewis and Freedom Lewis, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren that will all miss him.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow at the Knox Hill Cemetery on Old Sand Road in Bath County.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is 6:00 - 9:00 PM Tuesday.
Pallbearers include; Tracy Corey, Shannon Fultz, Jed Staton, Shawn Allen, Aaron Allen and Camryn Allen.
