David Ray Reffitt

David Ray Reffitt, 56, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania and formerly of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 15, 1970, in Mt. Sterling. The son of Patricia Anderson and the late Willie Ray Reffitt.

David enjoyed making jewelry and gardening, especially tending to his flowers. He also loved decorating for Christmas and took great joy in making the holiday special.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Crockett Reffitt and Riley Sorrell and Roberta Hunt Branham and his special lifelong partner, Mark Grissinger who passed away in 2015.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Anderson (Ricky) of Brownsville, one brother, Steven Reffitt (Sherry) of Owingsville, three sisters, Angella Mae Reffitt (Lee Jackson), Teresa Saylor (David) both of Mt. Sterling and Chrystal Rockwell (Allan) of Brownsville and a special aunt Martha Parks of Mt. Sterling. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly. 

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2026, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 12 noon - 2:00 PM Friday. 

The family is asking in lieu of flowers that contributions be made directly to the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville to help offset funeral expenses.
