Donald C. Pergram, a beloved member of the Olympia community, was born on March 7, 1939, to the late, George Washington Pergram and Ethel Montjoy Pergram. He passed away on October 7, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He dedicated many years of his life to his work as a laborer for the Laborer's Union Local 189 where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. After retirement Donald and his beloved wife spent many years working together selling antiques and memorial flowers. They cherished their time together working and making lifelong memories.
Donald was a man of many passions, known for his love of fishing, hunting, and collecting antiques. His interests reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and a deep-seated curiosity for history and craftsmanship, leaving him with a wealth of cherished memories and stories to share with those around him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Pergram, and sister, Linda Gail Ross.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Willa Darlene Pergram, and their loving daughter, Kim Hatton (Kenny). Donald also leaves behind a grandson, Chris Hatton (Daphne), four great-grandchildren, Gage, Abel, Addy, and Jace Hatton, one brother, Orville Lee Pergram (Barbara), one niece, Evelyn Crouch (Bobby), and great nephew, Allen Crouch and several cousins
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Mudlick Church of God in Olympia, with Brothers Jackie Anderson and Danny Ingram officiating.
Burial will follow at the Stull Cemetery in Olympia.
Visitation at the Mudlick Church of God will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 PM Thursday.
Pallbearers include, Chris, Gage, Abel and Kenny Hatton, Bobby and Allen Crouch.
