Dorothy Frances Ulery, 96, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1928, in Bath County to the late Ezra Kincaid and Mary Robinson Kincaid. Dorothy was a proud graduate of the Owingsville High School.
Dorothy was known for her remarkable skills in sewing, cooking, and gardening, which she lovingly shared with those around her. She was also known for her signature fruit cake. She derived immense joy from solving crossword puzzles and treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and family. Her nurturing spirit was evident in all that she did, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A proud member of Slate Valley Christian Church, Dorothy served as the secretary and treasurer for an impressive 58 years, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to her faith and community. She was also a devoted member of the Moores Ferry Church of Christ. Her contributions were invaluable and left a profound impact on all who attended the church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton Lee Ulery, her brother, Lewis A. Kincaid, her sister, Hazel Louise Kincaid Bromagen, and her son-in-law, Kenny Purvis.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Irene Purvis, Carol Caskey (Doug) both of Salt Lick along with her two grandchildren, Kimberly Draper (Jeff) of Lexington and Kerri Copher (Clifton Sparks) of Salt Lick. Dorothy was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Isabella Copher and Ava Copher, as well as one step-great-grandson, Jordan Draper, and her beloved caregiver Cindy Purvis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael R Gray Funeral Home, located at 89 Slate Ave, Owingsville, KY. A funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Michael R Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow at the Hedricks Cemetery in Salt Lick.
Pallbearers include, Roger Lee Coyle, Billy Joe Coyle, Tyler Riddell, Clifton Sparks, Chad Copher and Doug Caskey.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Moores Ferry Church of Christ.
