Edith Henderson Bradley, 97, of East Fork Road, Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky.

She was born on November 10, 1927 in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Johnny Burton Henderson and Minerva Ellis Henderson.

Edith had worked as a supervisor for Clay’s Tobacco Seed Company and she was also a true homemaker.

She was a very active member of the Owingsville First Church of God, where she was involved with the WCG and the kitchen ministry and was willing to serve where ever else she was needed.

Edith enjoyed cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and especially, helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Bradley, who passed away on April 19, 2023, two sons, Earl Thomas Bradley and Michael Dean Bradley, one daughter, Brenda Hughes, one grandson, John Gilvin, six brothers, Johnny Henderson, Jr., George Henderson, Edgar Henderson, Johnny Henderson, Bob Henderson and Lewis Henderson and five sisters, Ann Middleton, Edna Marciszewski, Ruby Forsythe, Magdalene Ring and Lucy Henderson.

Survivors include one son, James Bradley and his wife, Katrina of Owingsville, three daughters, Judy Guiler of Lexington, Kentucky, Carolyn Becker of Owingsville and Linda Hatton and her husband, Gerald of Carlisle, Kentucky, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bradley of Owingsville, one brother, Jim Henderson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, one sister, Mary Hart of Owingsville, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Owingsville First Church of God with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel, Kentucky.

Visitation at the Owingsville First Church of God will be from 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Tom Bradley, Griffin Bradley, Riley Kirn, Nathan Bradley, Bradley Hollar and Conner Hatton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Kirn, Kristin Baehler, Kari Grupke, Megan Owens, Kelsey Eymann and Allie Becker.

Contributions may be made to the Owingsville First Church of God.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Avenue in Owingsville is caring for all arrangements for Edith Henderson Bradley.
