She was born on December 7, 1951, in Bath County, to the late, James Robert Wright and Lena Bell Eldridge Wright. Etta Mae lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep commitment to her family.
Etta Mae retired as a Team Leader from Summitt Polymers, where her leadership and steadfast work ethic earned her respect and admiration. Sterling, Kentucky, and Eric McFarland (Jessica Hayes) of Carlisle. Etta Mae’s life was further enriched by her five grandchildren: Brooklyn McFarland, Aubrey McFarland, Braxton James, Madison McFarland, and Olivia McFarland.
Etta Mae is lovingly remembered by her siblings, including her brothers Billy Wright (Sandra) and Danny Wright (Connie), both of Owingsville, and her sister and caregiver, Deborah White, who shared her home and daily life. She was also fondly connected to her special nieces, Donna Shields of Owingsville and Amy Fawns of Moorefield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie McFarland Sr., and her brother, Bobby Newton.
