Eugene was a Bath County native. Eugene retired from the State Highway Department and was also a farmer.
Eugene is survived by one son, Farley (Sudie) Curtis of Owingsville; three daughters, Joan (John) Wells of Owingsville, Janette Curtis of Salt Lick and Betty Curtis of Sarasota, Florida; a very special friend, Jeannie Phillips of Sarasota, Florida; three grandchildren, Lora Lovins, Vernus Curtis and Michael Wells; one great granddaughter, Emma Lovins; one brother, Clyde Curtis of Fleming County; three sisters, Mary Plunkett of Lebanon, Indiana, Okie Holt of Lebanon, Indiana and Edna Jent of Fleming County. Eugene is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Allie C. Curtis; his parents, Jordan Curtis and Bertha Bradshaw; one daughter, Margaret Curtis and two brothers, Bill Curtis and Jack Curtis.
