Eulala Copher Donahue, 87, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday morning, April 29, 2023, after a brief illness.
She was born in Bath County on August 18, 1935. The daughter of the late Clark Copher and Lula Mae Yarber Copher.
Eulala was very devoted to her faith and family. She served her church as a board member and a Sunday school teacher for many years at both the Owingsville First Church of God and the Preston First Church of God. She owned and operated the Kountry Kettle in Owingsville where she displayed her cooking skills. Eulala was known as a sweet person to anyone who knew her. She enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, traveling to Cave Run Lake and spending time with her family of whom she loved so dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Burl Donahue, one daughter, Teresa Pendleton, five brothers, Ralph, Oscar, Louis, Witten and JT Copher and her sister, Beulah Vance.
Survivors include her son, Sam Copher (Debbie) of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, two daughters, Susie Copher (John Frederick) of Richmond, Kentucky and Tracy Copher (Larry) of Owingsville, seven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren, Troy Mansfield (Daven) and their children, Alyssa, Aubrey and Logan of Berea, Kentucky, Nikki Purvis and her son, Brandon Scott of Mt. Sterling, Deanndra Napier and her children, Steven and Kandi Napier and Patience Mason of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Brittany Pendleton (Caleb) and their children, Laylah, Lucian and Liam of Mt. Sterling, Arizona Roberts (Zachary) and their daughter, Zoe of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Branden Pendleton and Gabe Coyle of Owingsville, her sister, Emma Lea Bailey and three brothers, Alton Copher, Deweese Copher (Glenna) and Doug Copher (Linda) all of Owingsville and many nieces nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the Sanctuary of the Owingsville First Church of God in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice and Bro. Shawn Tolle officiating.
Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
Visitation at the Owingsville First Church of God will be 10:00AM - 12 Noon Tuesday.
Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews and Steven Coyle.
Honorary Pallbearers include Bobby Reeves, Roy Donahue Jr., Ronny Couchman and Manuel Vance.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Eulala Copher Donahue.
