Farley Jackson Purvis, 75, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away October 28, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
He was born on June 11, 1946 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Alleen Purvis Crouch.
Farley was a long time carpenter and masonry who loved to go to work everyday. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping others and spending time with his beloved family.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his late wife Nina McConnell Purvis, one step-son, Ricky McConnell, one nephew, Jeffery Purvis, his brother in law, Albert Stiddom and two cousins; Walter Cassity and Sue Young.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Inita Kay Purvis, one son, Farley Jason Purvis (Tasha) of Owingsville, one step-son, Tommy McConnell of Minnesota, one step-daughter, Tammy Bailey (Eddie) of Owingsville, one sister, Lana Stiddom of Owingsville, two grandchildren; Ryan Purvis and Lyric Purvis, two nieces; Rhonda Willis (Earl) and Alaina Spence (Travis) both of Owingsville, cousins; Mae Bollherfer (Rick) of Marion, Indiana and Manuel Goodpaster (Cheryl) of Wabash, Indiana.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, November 1, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Avenue, Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hedricks Cemetery in Salt Lick.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 5 - 8 PM Sunday.
Pallbearers include; Timmy Purvis, Earl Willis, Tim Stegall, David Cassity and Travis Spence.
Honorary pallbearers include; Ryan Purvis, Gabe Donithan, Hunter Cassity and Levi Bailey.
