Owingsville

Garney Estill Donithan, affectionately known as "Noble," departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2024, at UK St. Claire in Morehead, Kentucky, at the age of 75. He was born on June11, 1949, in Montgomery County to the late, Claude Donithan and Catherine Claypool Herrington.

Prior to his passing, Garney dedicated his life to his career as a truck driver for Rogers Foam Corporation while also proudly serving as a veteran of the United States Army. He was known for his steadfast character and the joy he found in simple pleasures—mowing the grass, gardening, and spending time with family, including playing cards with his brothers and watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude Donithan (Carolyn) and Catherine Herrington as well as his mother-in-law, Delores "Dopey" Morton.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Noble leaves behind his loving wife, Robin Donithan. He was the proud father of two sons, Greg Donithan (Angie) of Pikeville, Kentucky, and Mark Coyle of Owingsville, as well as four daughters, Deanna Helton (Chris), Ashley Donithan (Michael), Autumn Donithan, and Claudia Donithan, all from Owingsville. His legacy continues through his sixteen cherished grandchildren: Blake, Dillon, Taylor, Addison, Shayleigh, Benjamin, Karson, Landen, Olivia, Rileigh, Hudson, Harlyn, Sarah, Asa, Wyatt, and Jadyn.

Noble was also deeply connected to his siblings, which included five brothers: Donnie Donithan (Martha), Larry Donithan (Karen), Ricky Donithan (Pat), Tony Donithan (Teresa), and Steve Donithan (Ylecara), as well as one sister, Elizabeth Donithan (Frank). He is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended family, along with a cherished church family from End Time Harvest Church in Clearfield, Kentucky.
