Garry Douglas Manley, affectionately known as Doug, departed this life on December 8, 2025, at the age of 67, following a tragic automobile accident in Augusta, Kentucky. He was born on October 21, 1958, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Raymond Manley and Elizabeth Hawkins Manley.
Doug proudly served in the Army National Guard. He was known for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship, which he demonstrated through his many projects, including the cabin he worked on with his son, Joe.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Doug had a deep passion for faith and family. He often said he was a "Woodworker for God". He found joy in reading his Bible and spreading the gospel, always eager to share meaningful conversations and meet new people.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Manley.
His love for family was evident as he created lasting memories with his family which includes his daughter, Rebekah Denniston (Robert) of Berea, Kentucky, his son, Joe of Bethel, his two beloved grandchildren, Connor and Makayla Denniston, his sister, Debbie Gulley of Bethel, and his extended family, which includes one niece, Dezaray Franke (Tim) of Louisville, and three nephews: Michael Manley of Louisville, Kentucky, Jonathan Sebastian (Erin) of Paris, Kentucky, and Nick Gulley (Brandi) of Bethel.
A memorial gathering in honor of Doug will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael R Gray Funeral Home, located at 89 Slate Ave, Owingsville, Kentucky 40360.
