Gerald Wayne Armitage, loving husband, devoted father, and caring friend hit his final home run on Thursday, May 11, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to Mary Jo Patton Armitage Triplett and the late Calvin Armitage.

Gerald graduated from Bath County high school in 1974 and began working with his father Calvin at Armitage Auto and later worked and retired from CTI Foods in Owingsville. He was known for his desire to serve others and his remarkable personality.

Gerald will be always remembered by those he left behind including his mother, Mary Jo Armitage Triplett his wife of nearly 47 years Rhonda Lewis Armitage, their children Patrick "Pat" Armitage and daughter-in-law Casey; Matthew "Matt" Armitage and daughter-in-law Shelby; his beloved grandchildren Hank Armitage and Hayden Armitage. Gerald is also survived by his brother Randall Armitage and sister-in-law Jackie; nephew RJ. Armitage; niece Selena Armitage; nephew Quentin Lewis; niece Elese Lewis.

In addition to his devotion to family Gerald enjoyed playing softball, mowing his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren. Moreover, he was the assistant coach of the Bath County High School Baseball team, winning the hearts of many players.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 14th at Michael R Gray Funeral Home located at 89 Slate Ave in Owingsville KY.

A funeral service in honor of Gerald's life will be held on Monday May 15th beginning at 11:00 AM  at Michael R Gray Funeral Home also located at 89 Slate Ave in Owingsville KY.

Burial will follow at the Hedricks Cemetery in Salt Lick. 

Gerald lived an extraordinary life that touched so many people around him. He will always be remembered for being a dedicated coach who inspired students for many years with love always serving as his guide. He was a devoted husband, an exceptional father, and a dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
