Geraldine Buckingham Boyes

Geraldine Boyes, beloved wife, caring mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.  She was born on February 2, 1948, in Lodi, Ohio to the late, Lawrence and Mabel Fortner Buckingham. 

Geraldine found fulfillment within the walls of her home but also through pursuing hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She found solace in spending time with her family and reading her bible - finding comfort and strength within its pages. Known for being an exceptional cook, Geraldine's proudest accomplishment was being able to create mealtime memories that would last a lifetime.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Boyes, one son, Richard Boyes, one daughter, Tracy Laslie and two brothers, V. Ray and Larry Buckingham.  

She is survived by two sons: Troy Allen Boyes of McConnelsville, Ohio; Bobby "Dutch" Boyes (Sherri) of Owingsville; one daughter Niki Jo Boyes of Louisa, Kentucky; two brothers: Clifford Buckingham (Irma) of Danville, Kentucky, James "Hap" Buckingham (Charlotte) of Barberton, Ohio; one sister Loretta "Fern" Buckingham Marcum of Wooster, Ohio, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Geraldine's legacy will endure through the love and fond memories shared by her dear family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion towards those she held dear. Geraldine Boyes' departure has left a profound void in our lives, but her memory will forever bring warmth to our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
