Harlan Sheldon Baldridge

Harlan Sheldon Baldridge, 61, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on October 4, 1962, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, to the late Claude Clayton Baldridge Jr. and Olga Faye (McCarty) Baldridge.

Harlan's career as a dedicated Master Electrician was not just a job but a lifelong calling that he pursued with diligence and expertise. His commitment to his craft was evident to all who knew him. Outside of work, he found joy in collecting coins, hunting for arrow heads, and playing the guitar. However, his greatest source of pride and happiness came from his family.

Sheldon is survived by his two sons, Jeffery Vela of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Benjamin Baldridge of Lexington, Kentucky; three daughters, Emily Baldridge and Jeslyn Baldridge, both of Winchester, Kentucky and Deanna Baldridge of Camargo, Kentucky; the mother of his children, Ausundra Downs; one brother, Gary (Dawn) Baldridge of Nelsonville, Ohio; two sisters, Michelle (Dwayne) Freeland of Spencer, West Virginia, and Augusta Bailey of Beckley, West Virginia; and six grandchildren: Heaven Vela, Raiyn Vela, Attykus Baldridge, Colby Campbell, Axyl Baldridge, and Ayson Mancera along with his special friend, Derek Huffmaster.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Crix Cemetery in Morehead, Kentucky. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024. 

Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 369 will serve as pallbearers.
