Howell Henry Mahaney III

Howell "Bud" Henry Mahaney III, 77, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home. 

He was born in Dayton, Kentucky on December 21, 1945.  The son of the late Howell Henry Mahaney II and Genevieve Dennis Mahaney. 

Bud was United States Army veteran, having proudly served during the Vietnam era.  He went on to work many years as a sheet metal worker for the Sheet Metal Local Union 124.  He enjoyed messing around on the farm, coon hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Adaline "Shorty" Mahaney, two sisters, Norrita Pugh and Jukeila Clinkenbeard. 

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mahaney,  three daughters, Tammie Sherry (Jeff) of Newport, Kentucky, Amy Mahaney of Boone County, Kentucky and Shellie Mahaney of Indianapolis, Indiana, two brothers, Dennis Mahaney (Pat) and Ottis Mahaney both of Campbell County, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

In keeping with Bud's request, there will be no services. 

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Howell "Bud" Mahaney III.
