James "Jimmy" Warner, 84, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday. June 6, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born on September 16, 1936 in Bath County to the late Frank Warner and Verna Bailey Warner.
James was a self employed carpenter who attended the Bryan Station Baptist Church in Lexington. When he wasn't working he enjoyed watching UK basketball, westerns and working on furniture.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Warner, two sisters; Edna Warner, Deloris Warner and one brother, Oscar Warner.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Jane" Warner, one son, Jeff Warner of Owingsville, three grandchildren; Brian Warner of Lexington, Chris Warner (Terry Ellen) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Adam Warner (Loretta) of Richmond, Kentucky, eight great grandchildren; Finn Warner, Gemma Warner, Remi Warner, Aria Lynne Warner, Avery Nicole Warner, James Christopher Warner II, Carolina Warner and Olivia Warner.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, June 10, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Brent Spears officiating.
Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from noon until 2:00 PM on Thursday.
Pallbearers include; Brian Warner, Chris Warner, Adam Warner, Phillip Highley, Hoppie Roberson, Mike Warner, Adam Thornsburg and William Smith.
