Jeffery Dale Adkins

Jeffery Dale Adkins, fondly known as Jeff, passed away at St. Claire Regional Medical Center on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, after a brave battle with a brief illness. He was born on August 10th, 1965. The son of the late Clyde Adkins and Lorene Hollar Adkins.  Jeff was a kind-hearted man who dedicated his life to serving others. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Throughout his career of 40 years, Jeff worked as both a carpenter and firefighter. He had a passion for helping others and was always there for anyone in need. His efforts were highly appreciated by the people he served, and that is what made him loved and respected by all.

Jeff is survived by his wife Kathy Asher Adkins, two sons - Jacob Sebastian (Heather) and Lee Sebastian (Taylor), and three grandchildren - Ariel, Ryan, River Sebastian, and Lexie Coy. He also left behind three brothers - Jerry Adkins (Jenny), Jimmy Adkins (Lisa), Randy Adkins (Cathy), one sister - Linda Ferrell, along with his sister-in-law - Peggy Adkins and two special nephews - Patrick and Parker Asher, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Adkins and one brother-in-law, Stewart Ferrell. 

Although Jeff's presence will be missed deeply by many close to him, fond memories of his soft-hearted nature and generosity will continue to linger in the lives of those who knew him best. He enjoyed fishing, while tinkering with things and spending time with his loved ones.

The services for Jeffery Dale Adkins will be held at Michael R Gray Funeral Home located at 89 Slate Ave Owingsville KY 40360. The visitation service will take place on May 9th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service is set to take place the following day on May 10th, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Justin Perkins officiating. The interment ceremony will follow the funeral service at Owingsville Cemetery located at 129 Cemetery St, Owingsville KY 40360. 

Contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Preston Volunteer Fire Department at 230 Blevins Valley Rd. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360.

Jeff has left an irreplaceable mark in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will always be remembered for his selflessness and willingness to help others.
