Judy Kay Hunt, 55 of Vanlandingham Road, Salt Lick, passed away peacefully Friday evening in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after a brief illness. She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, January 30, 1961 to Phyllis Snedegar Holland and the late Cledith McClellan Green.
She was a former nurse at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center and Mary Chiles Hospital. She had also worked at KDMK and Summitt Polymers.
Judy was a 1979 graduate of Bath County High School, a member of the Midland First Church of God, enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques, keeping up with her friends on Facebook and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Gladys Snedegar.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Thomas Hunt, whom she married, June 2, 1979. one son, Christopher Thomas Hunt of Salt Lick, one daughter, Stacey (Joseph) Hammack of Morehead, Kentucky, One granddaughter, Ava Brooke Hammack, two sisters, Gloria Metz of Owingsville, Kentucky and Linda Black of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Midland First Church of God with Rev. Bush Stevenson, Rev. Jeff Fannin and Rev. Willard Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ginter Cemetery.
Visitation at the Midland First Church of God is from 6 to 9 P.M. Monday.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Joseph Hammack, Ken Metz, Zak Metz, James Cochran, Walter "Bud" Carpenter and Nick Withrow.
