Mrs. Kathy Flood Tapp, 69, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away suddenly Saturday evening, April 27, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
She was born on April 20, 1950, in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Annliza Goodpaster Flood.
Kathy served as the Bath County P.V.A. where she worked in the office for 30 years. She was a compassionate caring person who made everyone feel welcome. In her retired years if she wasn't spending time with her daughter Rebecca, then she was with her special group of friends and neighbors. She enjoyed shopping for antiques and tending to her flowers. Kathy was of the Christian faith and she attended the Hedrick Community Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Tapp who passed away February 8, 2015 and one brother, Kenneth Goodpaster.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Annette Tapp (Robert Caudill) of Lexington, two brothers, Martin (Imagene) Sorrell of Salt Lick and Manuel (Cheryl) Goodpaster of Indiana, one sister, Ada Wells of Ohio, one brother in law, Danny Tapp of Sharpsburg and one sister in law, Sue White of Owingsville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Randall Jackson officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 6 - 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
