Linda "Sue" Staton Beadle, 77, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on August 17, 1949. The daughter of Frances Helen Coyle Staton and the late Henry Staton.
Sue retired from the Bath County School System, where she worked as a cook in the school cafeteria, a job she truly enjoyed and one that allowed her to share her love with the many students she served over the years.
Sue cherished her family above all else. She loved being there to cheer them on at ball games, spending precious time playing Barbie dolls with Willow, and making sure no one ever left her home hungry. She found joy in the simple things, especially when surrounded by the people she loved. Whether it was sharing laughter, making memories, or preparing a home-cooked meal for anyone who wanted to eat, Sue had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. She was a member of Owingsville Christian Church and also attended Worth Church. Her faith was an important part of her life.
In addition to her father Henry Staton, Sue was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Staton.
Survivors include her mother, Frances Helen Coyle Staton; her husband of 59 years, Ronnie Beadle; one daughter, Angela Beadle (Kevin Chowning) of Frankfort, Kentucky; one son, Pud Beadle (Ashley) of Owingsville; two grandchildren, Memphis and Willow Beadle; and a special nephew, Taylor Staton, whom she thought of as a son. She is also survived by one sister, Pam Toy (Doug) of Owingsville; two brothers, Gordie Staton of Owingsville and Tucker Staton (Lisa) of Auburndale, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Justin Perkins officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday.
