Mary Frances "Frankie" Swartz, 89, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born in Olympia, Kentucky on March 14, 1932, to the late Charles Swartz and Opal Moore Swartz.
"Frankie" was a member of the Slate Valley Christian Church. After graduating from Morehead State, she went on to teach the first grade for 33 years at the Maddux Elementary School for the Hamilton County School District in Hamilton County, Ohio. Teaching was her passion and she always said that she would've even taught for free. She later enjoyed volunteering at the Nursing Home, playing piano and shopping in Lexington with her close friends.
Survivors include her cousins; Mark Moore (Robin) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Steve Moore of Georgetown, Kentucky, Nancy Miller of Ashland, Kentucky and Don Parks (Lana) of Cincinnati, Ohio and her special caregivers past and current.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360. With Rev. Chris Bailey officiating
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 12 noon - 2:00 PM Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Mark Moore, Josh Moore, Cooper Moore, Steve Moore, Simon Moore, Sterling Moore and Dave Miller.
