Mr. Orville Lacy (“Jetty”) Anderson, 81, of White Oak Road, Owingsville, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born on November 4, 1933 in Bath County, Kentucky, a son of the late John and Ora Reed Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a life-long farmer and a member of the Oakla Church of God. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Thomas Anderson, four brothers, Paul Anderson, J. B. Anderson, Hoop Anderson and Frankie Anderson, one sister, Elizabeth Vice and a granddaughter-in-law Gina Goodpaster Rogers.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lucy Stewart Anderson, one daughter, Cathy (Derek) Rogers of Owingsville, two sons, Floyd (Rhonda) Anderson and Allen (Tonya) Anderson both of Owingsville, two brothers, Delbert (Joyce) Anderson and Thomas (Jeanette) Anderson both of Owingsville, five grandchildren, Scott Rogers, Jessica Rogers Allen, Ashley Anderson, Carey Anderson and Tiffany (Jeremy) Weaver, one step-granddaughter, Jaime (Casey) Lyons, six great-grandchildren, Hannah Rogers, Landyn Rogers, Jasmine Tuttle, Jordan Tuttle, Bentley Anderson and a grandson, who is expected anytime, Canaan Weaver and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Brother Vernon Gross, Brother Randy Hawkins and Brother Billie Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Rogers, Jason Anderson, Dale Anderson, Bill Gross, Bob Flora, Derek Rogers, Carey Anderson, Jeremy Weaver and Jerry Adkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
