Raymond Purvis, Jr., 61, of Old Sands Road, Salt Lick, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born on October 31, 1953 in Bath County, Kentucky, a son of the late Raymond Purvis and Lillian Corey Purvis Robinson.
Mr. Purvis was a farm laborer and he enjoyed doing lawn care and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Purvis, Harry Purvis and Bascom Purvis and one sister, Barbara Wilson.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan Purvis of Owingsville, one sister, Margaret (Wilson) Harman of Owingsville, special friend, Peggy Wagoner of Salt Lick, sisters-in-law, Hazel Purvis of Mt. Sterling and Judy Purvis of Richmond, six nieces, three nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and his dog, Little Bit.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
