Renita Hazel Howard, 59, of Olympia, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home Friday, February 25, 2022.
She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on March 18, 1962 to Nellie Masters Howard and the late Scotty Hubert Howard.
Renita worked at the Family Dollar in Owingsville where she enjoyed coming to work and helping others. When she wasn't working she enjoyed cooking for her children, taking care of her grandbabies, gardening and taking care of her beloved dog Gidgett who she admired so much.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Ernest Clyde Barnett.
Survivors include her mother, Nellie Howard of Indianapolis, Indiana, two sons; Rocky Parker (Mariah) and Jeffery Howard both of Olympia, one daughter, April Howard Stevens of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, one brother, Scott Howard of Indianapolis, Indiana and one sister, Gina Howard of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, five grandchildren; Shelby Stevens, Collin Berry, Shane Parker, Carson Howard and LeAnna Parker and her beloved dog Gidgett.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
Burial will follow in the Howard - Parker Cemetery in Olympia.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
