Roger Lucas

January 31, 1912 — September 8, 2013

Roger was a Bath County native and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Tunnel Hill Church of God, a Veteran of WWII and a Ky Colonel.

Roger is survived by his wife, Christine Purvis Lucas of Owingsville; one son, Michael (Phyllis) Lucas of Owingsville; two daughters, Mary Jean Crouch of Owingsville and Bonnie Lou Davis of Owingsville; three granddaughters, Chris (Benny) Turner of Frankfort, Shanda (Tom) Ginn of Frenchburg and Bonnie Jean Crouch of Winchester, Tenn.; two grandsons, James Allen Davis, Jr. of Owingsville and Steven Thomas Lucas of Clay City; eight great grandchildren, Cody Turner, Marcus Turner, Stewart Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Christina Carol Whisman, Robert Cobb, Ryan Cobb and Aaron Bates; one brother, Joe Lucas, Jr. of Owingsville; one sister, Viola Lockerman of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lucas and Viola Moore; two sons, Roger Franklin, Samuel Wayne; one grandson, Herbert Wayne Harrison; four brothers, Ambrose, Charlie, Sherman and Ed; six sisters, Mary B., Minnie, Louise, Laverne, Opal and Lorraine.
