Samuel was a Bath County native. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Manley and James Ford Manley; two daughters, Crystal Manley and Rebecca Manley; one brother, Ford Manley, Jr. of Owingsville; two sisters, Cathy Purvis of Texas and Ruth Ann Hogge of Owingsville. Samuel was preceded in death by one brother, James Lewis Manley and his parents, Ruby Ford Manley and Louise Crouch.
