Walter Young Crouch

Walter Young Crouch, 93, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his home. He was born in Bath County on September 16, 1930, to the late, Clarence Crouch and Anna Dehart Crouch. 

Mr. Crouch was known for his dedication and hard work as a Lineman for General Telephone and Electronics for over 35 years.  He was not only a committed employee but also a proud United States Army Veteran who served his country with honor and valor. Outside of work, he found joy in working on the farm with his cattle, as well as watching westerns and wrestling on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Edith Christine Crouch, second wife Alleen Crouch, son Randall Dale Crouch, seven brothers - Clarence F. Crouch, William L. Crouch, Virgil D. Crouch, Oscar Crouch, Frank G. Crouch, Leslie Crouch and Lewis E. Crouch - as well as four sisters - Ruby L. Crouch, Lillie C. Boblitt, Iolene Crouch, Etta G. Crouch.

He is survived by his loving children: one son, Michael Young Crouch (Charlotte), and one daughter, Denise Mooney (Arthur Donovan), both residing in Owingsville. Additionally, one sister, Ada Marie Stone, daughter in law, Debbie Crouch, six grandchildren - Beverly Short (Bobby), David Crouch, Keith Crouch (Stacey), Brandon Crouch (Melanie), Donovan Mooney (Ashley), and Keegan Mooney (Heather) - along with twelve great-grandchildren will forever hold fond recollections of him.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in the Chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Jamie Stump officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Owingsville Cemetery. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Tuesday. 

Pallbearers include, Bobby Short, Keith Crouch, Brandon Crouch, Arthur Mooney, Donovan Mooney and Keegan Mooney.
