William "Billy" Dale Otis

William "Billy" Dale Otis, 71, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1952, in Bath County to the late Clendairus "Rabbit" Otis and Loraine Corey Otis.

Billy's passion for life was evident in his diverse interests and hobbies. From whittling cedar to spending serene days fishing and hunting, he found joy in the simplicity of nature. Riding his Harley and tinkering with anything that had a motor were pursuits that brought him immense satisfaction while basking in the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Bo Otis and a brother-in-law Gary Staton

Survivors include his companion, Treassa Lewis, two daughters, Daphan Allen of Owingsville, and Freedom Lewis and one son Reef Lewis. In addition to his children, Billy leaves behind three grandchildren - Shawn, Aaron, and Camryn Allen - and two great-grandchildren - Natalie Allen and Everlee Carpenter, his sister Drucella Staton and brother Jerry Otis (Tannie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Knox Hill Cemetery in Bath County. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024. 

Pallbearers include, Shawn, Aaron and Camryn Allen, Tracy Corey, Jed Staton, Mike Neff and David Houston.
