Wilma Whitton

WHITTON, Wilma Young, 85, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016.

Born Wilma Jean Young on September 2, 1930 in Bath County, Kentucky,

to Sterling and Kathleen (Stewart) Young---a graduate of Bethel High School.

She was an active member of Liberty Christian Church in Madison since 1963.

Wilma enjoyed a 30 year membership in the Evening Belles Home Economics Club

as well as the Madison Chapter 530 Order of Eastern Star.

She loved most of all to travel and vacation with her husband, going to Hawaii, cruising

to Alaska, the Caribbean and visiting most of the states in the U.S.

She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Whitton, whom she married on Dec. 19th 1953.

This union was blessed with a son, Anthony Whitton (Charlotte)--2 grandchildren, Scott

and Brent (Dodie).  Other survivors include one sister, Nancy J. Doggett (Dee “Junior”)

several nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 3, 11:00 A.M. at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville KY.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel KY.

Visitation at Michael R. Gray Funeral Home is from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday,

and from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday.
