Brenda Bretz - Wilson

Brenda was born June 6, 1955, to Mormie and Betty “Bowles” Bretz of Bethel, Kentucky. She was the eldest living sibling and spent the majority of her life helping to raise her brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her forever companion Kenneth Lee “jungle boy” Brumley, her brother David Dwayne Bretz, sisters, Bobbie Jo Snedegar, sister Connie Jo Bretz Hunt and her precious granddaughter Alexis Kennedi Bretz.

She is survived by her children Jason Todd Bretz, Justin Scott Bretz, Kasey LeAnn Bretz Denton all of Owingsville, Kentucky. Her brother Michael Brooks Bretz, sister Maggie June Bretz. A special niece Megan Ryan Collazo, a special nephew Brandon Michael Bretz, and she is also survived by her 4 granddaughters Abigail Bretz, Allison Bretz, Brooklyn Denton, and Baylor McCarty. As well as many other friends and family.

Brenda worked in several restaurants. She enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends, bingo, watching her grand kids play ball, and she loved her UK wildcats.

Brenda was a natural caregiver and a mother figure to almost everyone she came in contact with. Anyone who knew Brenda knew she dedicated her life to caring for her son Jason Todd Bretz. He was born with several complications with very little hope for survival. She would always place him above any person, event, or thing to ensure he was taken care of properly.

Brenda will be remembered for being a dedicated mother/caregiver. As well as the love she shared so abundantly with others. Brenda was always honest regardless of it was something you wanted to hear or just needed to hear. She was very open with her opinions and would help you in any way she could.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2020, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Gary Boyd officiating.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday.
