Frances McKinley

Frances Louise Purvis McKinley, 81, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at her home.

She was born April 11, 1940 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Robert Purvis and Mary Davis Purvis.

Frances was member of the Gateway Christian Church in Mt. Sterling. She was homemaker who enjoyed doing word searches, cooking, reading, traveling and making candy for her beloved family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard McKinley, three brothers; Donald Purvis, Charles Purvis, Robin Purvis and one sister, Lillian Susie Sexton.

Survivors include two daughters; Annette McKinley Risner (Glenn) and Lisa McKinley both of Mt. Sterling, two sons; Richard McKinley (Kim) of Miamisburg, Ohio and Daniel McKinley (Brigette) of Mt. Sterling, four sisters; Mary Bostic, Maxine Bussell, Jackie Bussell all of Owingsville and Nola Campbell (Elmo) of Lexington, Kentucky, two brothers; Robert Purvis of Owingsville and Eddie Purvis (Laura) of Carlisle, Kentucky, eight grandchildren; Tyler McKinley, Travis McKinley, Cody McKinley, Billy Rudd, Ben Rudd (Sarah), Dylan McKinley, Riley McKinley and Von McKinley, three great grand children; Carson Rudd, Morgan Rudd and Lincoln Rudd and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Richard McKinley and Glenn Emery officiating.

Burial will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers will include; Tyler McKinley, Travis McKinley, Cody McKinley, Billy Rudd, Ben Rudd and Dylan McKinley.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn Risner, Dale Risner, Dr. Danielle King, Julia Maness, Louise Setters, Conny Risner and everyone at the Mt. Sterling Clinic.
