Mrs. Mary Lou Jamison Lucas, 84, of Owingsville, Kentucky, ended this earthly journey on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She was born on January 5, 1935 in Grange City, Kentucky to the late Thompson & Bernice Cartwright Jamison.
Mary was a homemaker through out her life and a retired dairy farmer. She devoted her life to her Christian faith, the farm and to her family. Her hobbies were tending to her flowers and gardening, reading, word search and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Joe Lucas Jr. One son, Barry Keith Lucas (Lisa) of Georgetown, Kentucky, two daughters, Paula Jo Reynolds (Larry) of Owingsville and Sharon Sue Hall (David) of Richmond, Kentucky, one sister, Shirley Cornett (Woodie) of Grange City, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, Jessica Power (Mike), April Wilhoit (Stacy), Amanda Miller (Anthony), Melody Demasi (Clark), Christina Lucas, Michelle Hall and Matthew Hall, three great grandchildren, Maci Jo Power, Kember Tims and Kayden Pierce Hall. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Jim Crouch officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be after 12 noon Tuesday.
Pallbearers will include Stacy Wilhoit, Michael Power, Anthony Miller, Donnie Lucas, Jonathan Cornett and Matthew Hall.
In Lieu of Flowers the family of Mrs. Lucas has asked that you make a donation to a foundation of your choice in her memory.
