Phyllis Wendelene Skaggs Gilley, 58, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her residence in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
She was born on December 17, 1961 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Lonnie & Wanda Rigsby Skaggs.
Phyllis graduated from Bath County High School and attended Morehead State University graduating with an associate's degree. Her hobbies included reading, traveling and being with her family and friends.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Brenda Skaggs.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Skaggs of McCracken County, six brothers, Russell Skaggs (Donna) of Salt Lick, Jackie Skaggs (Connie) of Salt Lick, Robert Skaggs (Kathy) of Jeffersonville, James Skaggs of Owingsville, Charles Skaggs of Mt. Sterling, George Skaggs of Bethel, three sisters, Linda Schultz (Jerry) of Mt. Sterling, Debbie Driver of Jasper, Alabama, Patty Johnson of Owingsville. Several nieces and nephews with one special great-great niece Nevaeh Purvis..
Funeral Services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Friday 21, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Roy Stacy officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
