Mr. Sammie A. Dailey, 90 of Sharpsburg, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born in Bath County, Kentucky of February 16, 1930 to the late John D. Dailey and Mollie D. Jackson Dailey.

Mr. Dailey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed square dancing, fishing and hunting. He was an avid farmer raising tobacco and other crops and caring for livestock. He enjoyed driving the tractor until not long ago.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Gibson and Louise Dailey and a brother Omar C. Dailey.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Hatton Dailey, three sons, Tommy Dailey of Nicholas County, Joe Dailey and Mike Dailey both of Montgomery County. Three sisters, Mary Fox of Indiana, Eveline Workman and Dorothy Shields both of Sharpsburg. Four grandchildren, Timmy Dailey, Jason Dailey, Casey Dailey and Cheryl Davis. Also, Two great-grandsons.  Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg with Elder Wayne Manley officiating.

There is no visitation.

Serving as pall bearers will be his sons, Joe, Tommy and Mike and his grandsons, Timmy, Jason and Casey.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Sammie A. Dailey.
